たまたまちょうどど真ん中
空を見上げた。
ちょうど飛行機が飛行機雲を描きながら飛んでいるまっ最中で、
そり返りながら、どこまで飛んでいくのか見ていた。
そのちょうど平行に、
ハテ？
いったいなんじゃ？
飛行機雲の5倍くらい太い、直線に伸びた雲発見。
大空にどんとかまえた白い帯。
いったいコレは何なんだ？
今日の朝刊にこの話題がのっていた。
あたしの見た雲は、「巻雲」と呼ばれるもので、温かく湿った大気と冷たい大気のちょうど接点で日常的に発生するらしい。
どうしてこんな日常のワンシーンが今日のニュースとして取りあげられたのか？
それは、何件もの問い合わせの電話。
そして、その度に係の人はこう答える。
「たまたま雲ひとつない青空のちょうど真ん中にあって、とてもよく目立ったから。」と。
あたしは電話をしなかったけど、たまたま同じ時空を見上げていたのだ。
